Cook pasta according to packet directions and drain.

Heat oil in a large frying pan and sauté bell peppers, onion and garlic for 10-12 minutes until they are soft.

Add tomatoes, tomato paste and water.

Season with salt and mix in chilli powder to taste.

Continue cooking gently for 10-15 minutes.

Gently mix the cooked pasta with the sauce.

Serve sprinkled with grated cheese.
